is Flora Lazar's valentine to French confections and pastry. From the time she discovered the recipe book of legendary French pastry chef Gaston LenĂ´tre in high school, she has been enamored of the beauty and exquisite taste of these sweets. Three decades later, after a career in the business and non-profit worlds, she succumbed to the pleas of friends and family to make her confections, pastries, and confitures commercially available. She is excited to introduce them to the public.

A graduate of "L'Art de la Pâtisserie" program at the French Pastry School of Chicago, Flora has traveled extensively in France interviewing, observing, and writing about French pastry chefs for her Huffington Post blog.  Her upcoming film, directed by Chris Hegedus and DA Pennebaker, on  France's oldest and most prestigious pastry competition, will be aired on the BBC and is an official selection of the Sheffield, Amsterdam, and Berlin Film Festivals. The "post-graduate" pastry education Flora acquired in the making of the film has only deepened Flora's awe for those who practice this ever-vibrant craft, where passion, palate, and artistry combine to create gastronomic works of art. Flora applies the same rigor to our products as the exacting pastry chefs whose lives she continues to document in her blog Salted Caramel.
